Fulfil a mitzvah and help us clean up the beach! Reverse Tashlich (inspired by the initiative Repair the Sea) is an innovative environmental Jewish ritual. We honour tradition and address a modern crisis, by cleaning up waterfront locations as we enter the High Holy Days.
We invite you to come along and partake in a beach clean-up!
10am - 12pm
Sunday 28 September
Location: Beach Avenue, Elwood
What to bring:
Heavy duty gloves, eg. gardening gloves (vinyl/plastic gloves typically won't be sturdy enough)
Closed-toe shoes (there may be shards of glass or syringes buried in the sand)
Strong rubbish bags or a bucket for collecting rubbish
Long grabber tool (with claw at the end) - optional
